Families attending Mercymount Country Day School must re-register before February 1st. The registration fee of $135 guarantees a place at Mercymount Country Day School, provides the Parent Association with monies for its treasury, and is used to purchase books for the next year. This fee is non-refundable.
A student entering PreSchool must be 3 years old before August 31st of that year, and also be toilet trained.
A student entering Pre-Kindergarten must be 4 years of age on or before September 1 of that year.
A student entering Kindergarten must be 5 years of age on or before September 1 of that year.
In-House Screening will be conducted for students entering Pre-K and Kindergarten. Mercymount also requires parents of incoming Kindergarten students to provide, for our records, “Child Outreach” or “Child Find” screening through their local school department.
Students may be screened for entrance in other grades as needed. Proof of academic ability and promotion is required for students entering grades 1-8. Certificates of Birth, Sacraments and a non-refundable fee are requested at the time of registration. Mercymount admits students of any race, creed, gender, nationality or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students in this school.
An Open House and Registration is held each year for prospective students and their families. Students applying for Grades 1 – 8 will spend a day at Mercymount as part of the application process.
We are now accepting applications for September 2017.
An application with registration fee of $150 is required of all new students. Other documents that must be submitted at the time of the interview are copies of Birth and Sacramental certificates (if applicable) and a current report card and standardized testing scores. It is expected that medical records and transcripts will be sent at the time of official transfer from the previous school for transferring students. Parents will be notified by letter from the Principal as to their acceptance into the school. New families will also be invited to an annual Ice Cream Social, sponsored by the Parent Association, during August.
