In-house screening is conducted for students entering Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Students may be screened for entrance in other grades as needed.
Proof of academic ability and promotion is required for students entering grades 1-8. Certificates of Birth, Sacraments and a non-refundable fee are requested at the time of registration. Students entering Preschool, Pre-K or Kindergarten must provide Early Elementary Screening (Child Outreach) through the Cumberland School Department.
Mercymount admits students of any race, creed, gender, nationality or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students in this school.
Drop In Day programs are held periodically throughout the school year to provide open house visits on small scale during the school day. A traditional Open House is held annually in January. Registrations for the following Fall semester are accepted at that time with the registration fee. An interview between the parents and principal or assistant principal is scheduled. Notification of acceptance is upon completion of the registration process and receipt of all necessary paperwork and transcripts.
