The student body is coeducational and made up of various ethnic groups. Mercymount admits students regardless of any race, color, sex, religion, nationality or ethnic origin. The Mercymount student body is made up of children from over 25 different towns from Rhode Island and Massachusetts and currently includes more than 350 students from approximately 285 families.

Graduating Class Profile
Approximately 95% of the graduating 8th grade students attend Catholic high schools in the region. The most popular schools continue to be Bishop Feehan High School (Attleboro, MA), Xaverian Brothers High School (Westwood, MA), Mount Saint Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI), LaSalle Academy (Providence, RI) and Bishop Hendricken High School (Warwick, RI). Other schools that students attend include Ursuline Academy (Dedham, MA), St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI), St. Raphael’s Academy (Pawtucket, RI), Boston College High School (Boston, MA) and Classical High School (Providence, RI).
They report being well prepared, sometimes beyond their peers, in many subjects as they pass through high school, often succeeding in honors level coursework. The Mercymount education is highly regarded in local Catholic, private and public high schools.
