Admissions Timeline

Admissions Timeline for 2027-2028 School Year

August 2026-August 2027

Families can submit applications for PreSchool-Eighth grade to the MCDS admissions portal at www.mercymount.org.
To be eligible for Preschool, a student must be three years of age before September 1, 2027 and potty trained.
A student entering Kindergarten must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2027.

October 2026

Fall Open House: Sunday, October 18, 2026 (1:00-3:00 pm).
Register at https://www.mercymount.org/admissions/open-house beginning on September 1, 2026.

January 2026

Winter Open House: Thursday, Jan. 15, 2027 (5:30-7:30 pm).
Register at https://www.mercymount.org/admissions/open-house

February 2027-April 2027 (For PreSchool/PreK and Kindergarten Applicants)

Family interviews are conducted with parents and applicants entering PreSchool, PreK and Kindergarten during February and March.
Screenings for students entering PreSchool, PreK and Kindergarten are conducted in early March.
Decision notifications are mailed to families in late March/early April.

March-May 2027 (For Grades 1-8 Applicants)

Shadow Days are set up to give prospective students entering grades 1-8 an opportunity to visit the school for a day, “shadow” a class, participate in activities, and learn what a day in the life looks like for a Mercymount Mustang. Star Testing is administered on these days.
A Teacher Recommendation Form must be submitted and returned to Mercymount prior to the applicant’s Shadow Day.

April-June 2027 (For Grades 1-8 Applicants)

Applicants are notified of admission decisions.
